On Saturday, May 23, volunteers will gather at 9:00 a.m. at the American Legion Post 32 Veterans Cemetery on Bair Street to place flags on every headstone in honor of fallen service members. The museum, located on South Eisenhower Drive in Beckley, will also be open to the public on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  On Monday, the museum will reopen from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for visitors looking to explore the history, artifacts, and stories of the region’s veterans and first responders.  #RaleighCounty #WOAY

One of those opportunities is Concord Cool Academy: Tracks to the Future, happening June 16-19 at Concord University. Students will be able to explore career-focused tracks, including fine arts, creative writing, education, sports medicine, and nursing.  The second camp is the GEAR UP Southern West Virginia and WVU Tech STEM Camp, scheduled for June 29 to July 1. On Tuesday, May 26, the pantry will be in McDowell County at a new beginning at Rocket Boys Drive in War.  Then on Wednesday, May 27, the food bank moves to Raleigh County at the Linda K.
