Investigators allege the drones were used to deliver methamphetamine, marijuana, K-2, Suboxone, cell phones, tobacco, and saw blades intended to be used as weapons or to facilitate escapes.  Court documents state the Federal Bureau of Prisons' drone detection system tracked the drones' locations, flight paths, altitudes, and identification numbers, helping investigators identify the alleged operation.  #RaleighCounty #WOAY

According to the Beckley municipal code, fireworks are permitted on July 4 between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., as long as they are discharged responsibly.  Officials remind residents that users must be at least 18 years old, clean up any debris left behind, and may be held responsible for any fire suppression fees if an incident occurs.   #RaleighCounty #WOAY

Investigators reviewed video evidence, interviewed numerous victims and witnesses, and determined that 41-year-old Charles Frederick Austin allegedly brandished a firearm before intentionally driving an ATV into a crowd, injuring multiple people.  As a result of the investigation, Austin is facing 11 felony charges, including five counts of malicious assault, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit a felony, wanton endangerment involving a firearm, and multiple other offenses.  #RaleighCounty #WOAY
