Two people arrested and charged in McDowell County after allegedly attempting to smuggle contraband into FCI McDowell
Deputies received reports on September 2 of people attempting to bring contraband into the federal correctional facility.
The investigation led to the arrest of 38-year-old Magaly Fiallo Galindo of Rochelle, Illinois.
She is charged with aiding escape and other offenses relating to correctional facilities, along with conspiracy.
37-year-old Manuel Santiago Sanchez was also taken into custody and is being held in connection with immigration violations.

Woman faces drug possession and breaking and entering charges in Kanawha County
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, on September 1 at 6:00 am authorities responded to a call reporting a breaking and entering in progress at the Rand Community Center.
The caller, who had access to a live surveillance feed, observed a woman placing a ladder against the building and climbing on the roof.
Upon arrival, officers climbed the ladder to the roof, where they discovered several items and an open window.
