According to Wyoming County Magistrate Court documents, authorities responded to a call on Tuesday, May 5, at a residence in the Clear Fork area. Upon arrival, police spoke with a woman who reported she was physically assaulted, further stating that the suspect was intoxicated and driving to his residence in Matheny. #WyomingCounty #WOAY

The charges are in connection with an October 2025 investigation prompted by Sergeant Logan Cook and the Southern Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force. Gibson is scheduled for sentencing in June in Wyoming County Circuit Court. #WyomingCounty #WOAY

According to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, on April 6, deputies arrived on scene at a local Dollar Store, making contact with the suspect upon arrival, identified as 49-year-old Andy Joe Hayes, who was covered in blood. Investigators say Hayes immediately told officers, “I did it, I hit her with a sword, take me to jail.”  #WyomingCounty #WOAY
