Beckley,WV (WOAY) The Raleigh County Memorial Airport community is mourning the loss of longtime Airport Manager Tom Cochran.
Cochran spent more than 24 years leading the airport, bringing a passion for aviation and economic development to the job.
Those who knew him say his impact extended well beyond the airport, from mentoring others in aviation to supporting aerospace opportunities and the growth of Raleigh County and southern West Virginia.
Cochran was also known for the relationships he built throughout his career and for his deep love of his family.
The airport is asking the community to keep Cochran’s family, friends, and former colleagues in their thoughts and prayers.
He is remembered as a dedicated leader with a heart for others and a lasting legacy in West Virginia aviation.
