Wyoming County, WV (WOAY) Officials from the West Virginia Department of Health are providing an update on the mineral oil release in Wyoming County
State health officials say new testing shows no detectable levels of mineral oil in the Guyandotte River.
Because of that, public water systems are no longer advised to use activated carbon.
Officials say there is no change to normal water usage.
The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection is still conducting cleanup efforts, and crews report no visible sheen or material in the water downstream.
