Wyoming County, WV (WOAY) A Wyoming County man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he solicited a 14-year-old boy for sexual activity.

According to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, Sergeant Tyler Sizemore with the Crimes Against Children Task Force became aware on the morning of June 7 of a social media post alleging an adult male had solicited a juvenile for sexual acts.

Investigators obtained search warrants for the home of David “Porky” Acord in the Clear Fork area and for evidence connected to a mobile phone.

Authorities say a cellphone actively being used by Acord was recovered during the search.

Acord was taken into custody without incident Sunday night and is charged with soliciting a minor and traveling to engage in sexual acts, distributing obscene material to a minor, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

He is being held on a $125,000 cash bond.

The investigation remains ongoing, and all suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
