Wyoming County, WV (WOAY) Wyoming County Schools is partnering with the Special Olympics to ensure every local athlete has their opportunity to go for the gold.
There are two programs available.
The Young Athletes program is open to kids ages 2 to 7, providing sports teams and play groups for children with and without intellectual disabilities.
The traditional Special Olympics program is open to athletes ages 8 and up, providing athletic training and competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Sports include bowling, basketball, cheerleading, track & field, and cornhole.
