Oceana, WV (WOAY) The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office says two people are facing drug-related charges following a home-confinement check in Oceana.
Deputies were assisting the Wyoming County Home Confinement Office Tuesday, August 25, when a home-confinement officer noticed a crystal-like substance in the pocket of 31-year-old Steven Clark, of Oceana.
Deputies then entered the residence, where they encountered 30-year-old Alexander Riddle.
According to the sheriff’s office, Riddle continued walking away after deputies instructed him to stop.
A search of Riddle and a backpack allegedly found marijuana, Suboxone strips, suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, hydrocodone and other pills, along with a firearm.
Riddle was arrested on five counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and one count of being prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Clark was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and violating home confinement.
They are both in Southern Regional Jail awaiting further court proceedings.
Riddle has a cash-only bond of $132,500.
Clark has no bond.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that all suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
