Beckley, WV (WOAY)- Active Southern West Virginia (Active SWV) will host the spring 2024 Community Captain Conference on March 23 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Tamarack Conference Center.
The event also marks the 10th annual community captain training.
The conference will provide an in-person networking opportunity for current volunteer community captains, recruits, and anyone curious about opportunities to volunteer with Active SWV.
This year’s event will have a unique twist with a professional development half-day conference for current community captains, followed by a session to train new community captains.
Community captain Tim will cap off the day with a Zumba class experience starting just before 2:00 pm, open for all attendees to join.
Anyone interested in attending must register in advance.
As an added incentive, you can register by March 8 for a complimentary belt bag.
