Thurmond, WV (WOAY)-Heads up for anyone planning a visit to Thurmond this week — the West Virginia Department of Highways will be working on the bridge leading into town.
Crews will be on-site Wednesday, June 25, and Thursday, June 26.
During that time, only foot traffic will be allowed on the bridge.
If you’re heading to the historic Thurmond Depot, you’ll need to park at the dirt lot just before the bridge and walk the short distance across.
The depot will remain open throughout the work, and the Thurmond Walk is still scheduled to take place.
Be sure to plan, wear comfortable shoes, and enjoy your visit while getting some extra steps in.
