Charleston, WV (WOAY) The West Virginia Department of Health is encouraging residents to participate in an important public health survey.
The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, or BRFSS, helps state health officials gather information about health concerns, behaviors, and trends affecting West Virginians.
Adults 18 and older may be randomly selected to receive a phone call from trained interviewers between Monday and Saturday.
Officials say participation is voluntary and all responses remain confidential.
The information collected helps public health leaders develop programs and direct resources to improve health outcomes across the state.
