West Virginia (WOAY) Football fans have a new way to play this fall.
The West Virginia Lottery is launching Powerball Xs and Os, a new multi-state game combining Powerball with the NFL.
Ticket sales begin September 8, with the first drawing set for September 13.
Players will choose eight NFL team logos from 32 options.
Each Sunday at 10:00 p.m., eight winning logos will be randomly selected.
Tickets cost five dollars per play.
Players must match at least four winning logos to win a prize, while matching all eight wins the jackpot, starting at $1 million.
Lottery officials stress the drawings are completely random and are not based on the outcomes of NFL games.
The game will be available in 24 lottery jurisdictions.
The launch also kicks off a new Powerball promotional program, giving eligible ticket holders opportunities to earn points and enter drawings for prizes, including a trip to Super Bowl 61 in California.
