Richlands, VA (WOAY) – Tazewell County was one of the hard-hit areas following major flooding in the two Virginias.
This morning God’s Pit Crew, a Virginia based charity rolled into Richlands, Virginia with a truckload of donations to help residents devastated by the flood. The truck was packed with water, sports drinks, limited food items, cleaning supplies and disaster kits. Distribution will start at 11:00am and town officials are aking those in need to come to the back of the police department to the bay doors.
They will also be opening up shower facilities for folks who are in need. They ask that you come to the front lobby and ask for assistance.
God’s pit crew is a faith-based agency based in Danville, Virginia that started in 1999 following devastation caused by the largest tornado in recorded history in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
