WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will start off nice before more showers and storms develop in the afternoon. Damaging winds, isolated downpours, and flooding issues are all in play through the afternoon and evening hours. While the severe chances are highest to our north, though we could see some heavy rain and flooding across the region. Unfortunately, we are not quite done with the rain after today, though it will end soon. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
A cold front will be blowing through the area tomorrow, heightening chances of severe weather across the region once again. Damaging winds, heavy rain, and flooding are once again in play as the front moves through. The activity will kick off in the morning, though the strongest of the storms will come through in the afternoon and evening. Rainfall totals over the next 48 hours will linger around a half to three-quarters of an inch. Here’s a look at the severe weather outlook across the region tomorrow:

Thankfully, after some lingering showers Wednesday morning, we’ll stay dry and warm for an extended period. Sunny skies Thursday and Friday will bring great weather for Independence Day, perfect for the pool and grilling!
