Snow Squalls Come Through Tuesday Evening; Next Rain Chance on Friday

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today brought a little relief to our area with mostly sunny skies and, most importantly, no snow. However, the snow comes back tomorrow with some light afternoon accumulation possible across the area.

Tuesday will be important to keep up with, as some quick-moving snow squalls will come through the area. These could drop snow at a very fast rate and whip up gusty winds, causing visibility and travel issues in the evening. Accumulation can eclipse 3″ in the northern and western counties, with the eastern and southern areas looking at a coating to 2″ of snow.

Wednesday will be another brief snow-break before we get some lighter snow showers on Thursday. Friday will be the start of the next frontal system, bringing mostly rain through Saturday. Temperatures will be above freezing Friday and Saturday, which is a good sign for those loathing the snow. Sunday will see backend snow once again due to the cooler conditions behind the front.
