A Break Tomorrow Spells Snow Through the Week

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Tomorrow will be a good day to break out the shovels with partly sunny skies on the horizon. Monday will start decent, but snow showers will brush the area in the late afternoon and linger through the night. Accumulation may be around an inch of snow on top of the current snow pack.

Tuesday could spell some quick-moving but strong snow squalls, especially with the storms draping down from the Great Lakes. Accumulation of 2″ and upwards are expected in most areas, with the Greenbrier Valley gaining around an inch and the northern mountains of Nicholas and Pocahontas seeing upwards of 6″ and strong winds. Blizzard conditions will be possible in the north, as winds will roar during the quick-hitting event.

Wednesday will give us another break before some light snow showers make their way on Thursday, but accumulation will not be significant in most areas. Friday afternoon will feature the next large system moving across the country, leaking into Saturday with rain, ice, and snow possible across the area.
