Showers Dissipate; Dry Streak Ahead

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Drizzle will start the morning off before the remaining showers leave the region this afternoon. Damp conditions persist, but the evening commute will be smoother than this morning’s. Temperatures will stay in the low 60s all day long thanks to the cold front pushing through last night, so a light jacket or hoodie may be warranted through the day. High pressure sweeps into the region, which will bring on an extended dry streak once again. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the full forecast:

Tomorrow morning will be exceptionally chilly for early fall, with parts of the Greenbrier Valley and eastern mountains seeing temperatures below freezing. Frost Advisories have been placed in eastern Fayette, Greenbrier, Nicholas, and Pocahontas counties for tomorrow morning. Aside from potential frost in the morning, the rest of the week will be uneventful with sunny skies and temperatures sticking in the lower 60s. A hoodie will be a worthwhile option for any morning or nighttime activities. Here’s a look at potential temperatures tomorrow morning:

As we head into the weekend, temperatures will reach back into the upper 60s across the region. We’ll continue to stay dry, bringing on a slight risk of brush fires across the latter half of the extended forecast. High pressure may leave the region, but with no low pressure expected to pass through, conditions will stay dry through the first half of next week. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
