WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will be another calm one as skies stay partly sunny and temperatures end up in the mid-60s after a chilly morning. Cloud cover will fluctuate through the day, but it will not result in any precipitation until tomorrow. Make sure to enjoy the nice conditions, as it will be the last calm day until this weekend. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Showers will start to appear tomorrow afternoon as a small group of them develops in the Ohio River Valley. These showers will be lighter, though a few isolated thunderstorms are possible as well. By the evening, most of these showers will dissipate, leading to a calmer night. The calm will not last long as the main event moves in Friday morning. This cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms into the region, with some storms being on the strong side. Due to this line reaching us early in the morning, severe weather will be weaker if it shows up. This front will last through the day and evening before pulling away at night. High pressure will then push away any lingering showers by Saturday morning.

After the cold front moves through, conditions will cool down significantly. We’ll only reach into the upper 40s on Saturday afternoon, and lows will be in the upper 20s for Saturday and Sunday morning. Thankfully, temperatures improve on Sunday. Seasonable values will come back to end the weekend, making for a nice afternoon and evening on Sunday. Rain chances will slowly creep back into the forecast next week, so don’t put away the rain gear yet. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
