Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department is hosting a community outreach event in Oak Hill this week.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton are partnering with Oak Hill Mayor Charles Briscoe to host the “You Are Not Alone” outreach at the Oak Hill amphitheater this evening from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The outreach is aimed at anyone struggling with substance abuse, mental health challenges, homelessness, or other hardships.
Organizers say peer specialists, volunteers, and representatives from multiple organizations will be available to connect people with resources on the spot, with no questions and no judgment.
The Oak Hill Police Department will also have an officer present during the event.
