WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Tomorrow, rain and isolated thunderstorms will be making their way to us in the morning and lasting through the afternoon. These storms will bring damaging winds and a possibility of hail.
The Storm Predication Center has issued a marginal risk for severe weather, citing that this risk mainly stems from the possibility of damaging wind gusts of 40-50 miles per hour. The risk for hail is there also, but it should not be damaging. Tornadic activity is technically possible, but not probable in this situation as there would need to be multiple drivers of rotation in this storm.
With the possibility of damaging winds, please take caution traveling, bring lighter artifacts inside, and be prepared with food, water, and battery operated technology if the power does go out. Meteorologist Christian Boteler will be on the News tonight at 11pm and will be available through the WOAY StormWatch Facebook page to provide breaking weather news.
