Princeton, WV (WOAY) – The Mercer County Animal Shelter announced that the shelter has entered Code Red Status.
The group posted on their MCAS Facebook page that they will have $10 adoptions due to the number of animals in their custody. According to the Facebook post they have over 80 dogs at this time. The shelter is extremely full and if the animals are not adopted, they may have to begin euthanizing some animals.
If the shelter does not adopt enough animals by January 22nd they will reevaluate the situation. They will also be listing animals that are available on the MCAS Facebook page.
