HS Boys Soccer – Huntington @ Woodrow Wilson

Beckley, WV (WOAY) – A four-minute period early in the second half was the difference for Woodrow Wilson boys soccer, as the Flying Eagles won 2-0 against Huntington on Saturday afternoon.

Tyler Miller found the net in the 51st minute as the result of a play that began with a short corner, and ended with Daniel Saikli providing the assist. Four minutes later, a Saikli free kick was deflected onto the crossbar and punched out of the box, before Hunter Pack’s lobbed shot found the net for a second goal of the game.

Huntington also had offensive opportunities in the second half; their best chance came on a corner kick that set up Owen Stoll with a shot saved by Elijah McKan.

Woodrow Wilson’s next game is Tuesday when they host South Charleston.
