Great Second Half of the Week; Iffy Weekend

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): After the last of lingering rain and snow finally vacate the area, clouds will diminish through the day as we stay cooler across the region. The rest of the work week is looking splendid, though we may have some obstacles through Easter Weekend. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:

Today will see breezy conditions once again, though less intense than yesterday’s wind gusts. Wind chills have dipped below freezing in some areas this morning, so make sure you’ve got some layers to keep you warm today.

The warmer weather will start making a comeback towards the end of the week as sunny skies will last through Thursday and Friday. Friday will see temperatures break the 75° mark by midday, finally ushering in some warmer spring days. These temperatures will finally stick around for a while, with warmer temperatures sticking around past the weekend into next week.

Saturday will start the more active pattern off with a slight chance of severe weather. While the front coming through the country is slated to miss us just to the north currently, there is a possibility these storms make their way south when the front gets here. We will keep an eye on the situation as it develops in preparation for a possible severe weather threat.

Easter Day may see some showers come through the area, but will otherwise be a great day with warm temperatures and mostly cloudy skies. Monday will see a continued chance of showers across the area before we will finally clear out on Tuesday next week. While we will drop in temperature, they will still be warmer across the region.
