WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will be a gorgeous day outside with temperatures above 50 by the afternoon and sunny skies as well! However, the sun won’t be around for long as clouds develop across the area and rain showers will come through Saturday.
Luckily, the rain won’t last for long, as Sunday will be mostly sunny. However, this will also be the first cold shot for March, as temperatures will dip below freezing overnight and barely squeak above freezing during the day. Monday is much of the same, though temperatures will improve in the afternoon.
Tuesday is the next chance of rain, with afternoon showers being the precursor to thunderstorms and possible flooding on Wednesday. This will be caused by large frontal system moving through the country. Severe weather is not likely for us at this time, but the southern states will be seeing impacts including a possibility for tornadoes. We will update the community on the thunderstorm threat as we get information.
