WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Lumbering low pressure will push away tonight and a dry stretch of weather is expected through early this weekend.
SUNSET ALERT: We should see a ray of sunshine at the end of the day, so capture those beautiful sunsets tonight!
FOG ALERT: Dense fog is expected tonight and again Wednesday morning across the entire region, so make sure to use low beams and allow a few extra minutes to get to work (if you need to be in the office by 9 a.m.). Each day will be dry with increasing sunshine as Wednesday progresses and warmer temperatures for Friday night football.
TRANSIENT COLD BLAST: Tropical Storm Jebi in the West Pacific will slide into the Aleutians late this week and buckle the jet stream. This will reciprocate a cold front that will push across the northern tier, into southern West Virginia with a few showers on Sunday. The coldest air mass of the season will push into the region in its wake. A developing tropical system in the Caribbean that will push into the Gulf of Mexico and then make headway across Florida will delay the coldest air until Wednesday. Expect most locations to see frost Wednesday or Thursday morning before temperatures quickly moderate.
