Applications for financial assistance available for Fayette County residents impacted by severe flooding

Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) Fayette County residents affected by the August floods can now apply for financial assistance through the county commission.

Applications are due by noon on September 15.

The commission says it is only accepting applications at this time.

After receiving applications, the commission will determine at a public meeting whether assistance will be provided and how much eligible applicants may receive.

Decisions will be based on demonstrated need and available county funds, and there is no guarantee an applicant will receive assistance.

To apply, residents can download and complete the application on the Fayette County 911 website.

Completed applications can be emailed to jak.kincaid@fayettecountywv.gov or dropped off at Fayette County 911.

County officials are encouraging residents to share the information with anyone who may have been affected by the flooding.
