Good morning folks! We’re starting the day with very dense fog across the region. Visibility is extremely low in many of our communities as of 6 am, making for a potentially hazardous morning commute. While the fog is expected to gradually lift over the next few hours, it could still impact your drive through 10 a.m., so please allow yourself extra travel time and use caution on the roads.
Rain chances have moved out of the forecast through Thursday, but with all the moisture still in the ground, fog will likely be a factor during the morning hours much of this week.
Temperatures will be climbing each day, eventually reaching the upper 80s by the end of the week. With the heat building, it’s important to watch for signs of heat exhaustion. Be sure to take breaks, stay hydrated, and avoid prolonged time outdoors during the hottest part of the day.
Rain chances will return Friday afternoon, and really pick up on Saturday and Sunday. It looks like any weekend plans could get a bit damp, so start planning to be flexible with outdoor plans.
