WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will be rather uneventful with cloudy skies, temperatures around 70 degrees, and calmer winds than the last few days. However, we will see more active weather at the end of the week. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Today will be by far the best day to get out and get any yard work or outdoor activities done. Wednesday and Thursday both have vey slight chances of showers, though Thursday’s chance is larger. Otherwise, both days will see partly sunny skies and temperatures reaching the mid-70s.
Friday and Saturday will be the main event for this week’s weather, as it will be two days of showers and thunderstorms across the region with a break in the activity Saturday morning. First, a warm front will kick through the area on Friday before the low pressure continues advancing. This advancement to the northeast United States and Canada will usher in a cold front Saturday afternoon brining more showers and storm across the region. There may be a risk for severe weather with this low pressure, and we will continue to monitor it as we get more information.

Sunday will finally see some better conditions with partly sunny skies and clouds gradually decreasing through the day. Monday will also be a great start to next week, as temperatures return to the 70s after a weekend in the 60s and the skies will be mostly sunny. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:

We’ve had an up and down month in terms of temperature, but not nearly as unstable as March was. After the massive cooldown we had a couple of weeks ago, we’ve been steadily warm for a couple of weeks. However, we will stay closer to average temperatures until the very end of the month, where we see above average temperatures again. Here’s a graph of observed temperatures and forecasted temperatures compared to average.
