The chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue to last through the night. Heading into Memorial Day, we will continue to have the chance for rain scattered throughout the day. Keep your rain gear handy if you’re doing outside activities over Memorial Day. Heading into Wendesday, we will continue to see the rain and it actually could be heavier that day than on Monday. Monday through Thursday will lead to the potential for thunderstorms across the area though.
The European model shows nearly 3 inches of rain in the Southern Coalfields over the next 7 days. It could be a rought week to get baseball and softball games in if any are still going on. Friday looks to be the best day to get outside and enjoy the weather as we start to dry up before more shower chances return Saturday and Sunday.
