WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): A few lingering showers are possible for the morning, but most of the rain will be to our south. Any remaining showers will be light and not very impactful, aside from making things a little damp for a little longer. An umbrella may be helpful, especially if you are in the southern and eastern portions of the viewing area. After the showers dissipate later this morning, skies will eventually become mostly sunny. Temperatures will remain in the upper 60s and lower 70s through the day, making for a comfortable end of the work week. The evening commute will be as smooth as butter from a weather standpoint. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the latest forecast:
This weekend will be a bit of a mixed bag, but mostly beautiful. Saturday will be the best day of the next week! We can thank a brief stint of high pressure for the wonderful weather. Humidity will be modest, temperatures will be in the mid-70s at their peak, and skies remain mostly sunny. For those going out to the Renaissance Festival or enjoying any other plans, it will be a perfect day. You will still want water and sun protection, especially if you’ll be out all day. While we do need any and all rain we can get, it is nice to have days like these in between active stretches.
Sunday will be the “mixed bag” portion of the weekend. Conditions during the morning and afternoon will be similar to Saturday, warmer temperatures aside. Temperatures peak around 80 degrees in the late afternoon, making things a bit warmer. However, the sunshine will be covered by clouds later in the evening, and clouds last into the overnight hours. A low-pressure system will be advancing east from the Midwest, which could bring us some late night showers. If you will be out on late dinner plans for Father’s Day, it would not hurt to bring a umbrella.

The low-pressure system mentioned before will pass through the eastern states on Monday, bringing gloomy and rainy conditions to our viewing area. Storms and showers will be widespread through the morning and afternoon before breaking down slightly in the evening. Despite this breakdown, rain will not completely dissipate overnight. In fact, showers will linger on Tuesday morning before exiting the area and leaving us dry for the rest of the day. After Tuesday morning, rainfall is trending towards an “on again, off again” pattern. Wednesday is trending drier why Thursday brings rain back to the forecast. Here’s the 7-Day Forecast:
