Beckley, WV (WOAY)-Get ready to kick off creativity in style at the 7th annual Bex Art Festival!
On Friday, July 25, at 11:30 a.m., join the creators of BEX, the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce, and the vibrant community for a creative ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the latest public art installation and kick off this year’s festivities.
Featured at the event, artist Sharol Batey, assisted by Sean Pettrey, will be recognized for their incredible work on the beautiful new mosaic mural.
The public art piece was proudly commissioned by Bex Arts and made possible through funding from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce.
And the fun doesn’t stop there!
Enjoy lively performances from four local senior line dancing groups starting at 11:40!
Additionally, kids can engage in a hands-on mosaic craft activity.
