BEAVER, WV (WOAY) – The Beaver Volunteer Fire Department has added a new addition to their truck collection.
A 105- foot ladder truck named The Ladder 2 was delivered to the fire station this afternoon. The Ladder 2 is the 11th fire vehicle and the second ladder truck at the department.
Public Information Officer, Will Davis says it will take up to three months before the truck is fully equipped and the department is trained on how to operate it.
“We’re really excited, today we’re taking delivery of a new (to us) 2010 Pierce Velocity Ladder Truck and we are thrilled to have this new piece of equipment to serve the citizens of Raleigh County,” said Davis.
David says he would like to thank the community because without the fire levy, the new truck would not have been possible.
