It was a showery Sunday for some, mainly in our northern areas. Heading into Monday though, we will definitely start to dry out. A stray shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out for some of us on Monday, but most people will remain dry all day. The dryness will continue through the week as a large area of high pressure sets up camp.

Diving into the 4th of July weekend. Friday through Sunday does feature the chance for isolated showers and storms, but for the most part Friday and Saturday remain dry. Sunday appears to have the most likely chance for rain of the three days, but even then still appears to be scattered showers/storms at best. We will continue to watch how the holiday weekend unfolds. The main thing to watch out for is the heat.

The European model shows a little bit of rain over the next 7 days, but no drought busting rain appears likely to come through. There could be a little relief from the heat in areas where rain lasts a little longer, as more cloud cover could be over that area.

Taking a look at the full 7 day forecast though, heat is the main story of the week. Temperatures will increase drastically from Tuesday through the weekend. The middle to end of the week appear to be the hottest in our area with multiple chances to push 90 for many of us across the region. Stay hydrated and make sure you take multiple A/C breaks if you are able! This will be a great holiday weekend for the pool!
