Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that happened around 4:53 p.m. Tuesday.
On the 2000 block of Lens Creek Road, an SUV and a utility truck crashed head-on. The truck overturned on its side, and the SUV stopped in a ditch.
The SUV was driven by a mother who was with her 8-year-old child. The child was ejected from the car during the crash.
A passerby stopped and performed CPR on the kid until medics arrived, but unfortunately, the child still passed away. The driver of the utility truck was transported by medics for treatment and evaluation.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
