Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department begins “Sherill” Parker shadow box

WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Former Wyoming County Sheriff “Sherill” Parker passed away this past December.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department is hoping to do a shadow box in his memory. Parker’s son, Ryan, brought the initiative to the department, and will be designing the shadow box.

“He wanted to put something into the courthouse in memory of his father,” said Wyoming County Sheriff Randy Brooks. “He asked if that would be ok. I checked with the locals, my tax department people, and asking questions around. It was really well received. We just thought we might want to present that to the commission too, seeing that it was going to be in the middle of the courthouse.”

There is currently no set timetable for the completion and installation of the shadow box into the county courthouse.
