WVU Wins at Baylor 71-60

WOAY – West Virginia men’s basketball completed a regular season sweep of Baylor Tuesday, winning 71-60 in Waco, Texas.

Esa Ahmad and Jevon Carter led the Mountaineers with 15 points each, while Sagaba Konate came close to a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and nine blocks. WVU led by as many as 28, and was able to keep momentum despite Baylor making several comeback attempts in the second half.

West Virginia women’s basketball also won on Tuesday, defeating Kansas State 75-66 in Manhattan. All five WVU starters reached double figures, led by Teana Muldrow’s 19 points and 11 rebounds. Like the men, Tuesday’s win means the WVU women reach 20 victories on the season.

Both teams return home Saturday, as the Mountaineer women host Oklahoma State at 1 PM. The men face Iowa State at 6 PM.
