Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Police are looking for a suspect who escaped from a traffic stop.
State troopers tried to pull the unknown driver over on I-77 near mile marker 56. The driver refused to pull over and fled south, eventually crashing near mile marker 51.
The suspect then fled on foot toward Maple Fork Road in Raleigh County.
Officers were unable to catch him. Police now believe he got a ride from another unknown person who dropped him off near Mount Hope.
He then is believed to have fled further on foot.
