Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – On Thursday, there was a train derailment in Glen Jean.
13 train cars came off the tracks, some of which had a full load of coal.
Friday morning, the R.J. Corman Railroad Company had heavy equipment on site to assist in getting things back on track.
Crew members said it was a challenging situation and, therefore, hard to determine when all cars would be aligned again.
Street crossings had been cleared so residents in the area were able to get in and out, but there was still much to be done as of Friday morning, and some cars were on a bridge, which further complicated the situation.
