Wonderful Week Ahead; Some Haze into Tuesday

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Meteorological summer is off to a fantastic start with mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures after a very wet month of May. The warm and dry pattern will continue until the end of the week when rain starts to come into the equation once again. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has your full forecast:

This week will be a great time to get any yardwork or outdoor chores done as the conditions continue to improve. Warmer temperatures and sunny skies will warrant plenty of water, sunscreen, and bug spray as the week goes on. We’ll get into the mid-80s by Wednesday and continue with sunny skies! The only threat we’ll have in the next few days is hazy skies on Tuesday due to the wildfires in Canada. Smoke will mostly stay aloft in the atmosphere, though we will keep an eye on things in case smoke does drift down towards the surface. Here’s a look at the mowing forecast for the week:

Friday will be the first sign of rain in June with partly sunny skies. While the current trend shows the frontal system staying stationary until Saturday, we could see it move down to us early. Speaking of Saturday, we’ll see the brunt of this upcoming front then. Showers and storms will impact the area, with some stronger storms not out of the question. Sunday will see some lingering rain early before the frontal system moves away. There is also another disturbance that will miss us to the south at the end of the weekend, though it could move up a hair and affect us. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
