West Virginia spring burn ban begins today

WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY) – The West Virginia spring fire season begins today across the entire state.

West Virginia spring fire season beings on March 1st and ends on May 31st.  No burning is allowed from 7 am until 5 pm.  Fires must be attended to at all times.

Anyone caught violating the burning law is subject to a 1,000 dollar fine.
