Warm Up Next Week With Rain Chances Continuing

We are going to have scattered rain chances next week starting Wednesday night into Thursday, lasting through the weekend. This is a look at Friday morning where it looks to be our most impactful rain chances of the week happens throughout the region. Thursday night into Friday looks wet as the European model progs up to an inch of rain for most of the area, although like what we just experienced, 0.5-0.75 inches seems to be the most likely amount.

As we head from Saturday into Sunday we have more rain coming through the region and with temperatures flirting with the freezing mark Sunday night. A mix of rain and snow or some pure snow showers will not be ruled out at this point Sunday afternoon into Sunday night across the higher elevations, likely above 3000 feet.

We mentioned a warm up and here it is. Temperatures into the 60’s for consecutive days will help to continue reduce the snowpack that remains on the grassy surfaces, mainly in the most shady areas. Not much snow will be left, if any by weekend before we do see that one more shot at snow showers in the higher terrain areas.
