Beckley, WV (WOAY) United Way of Southern West Virginia is getting ready to reveal the stars of its 13th season of Dancing with the Stars.
The community is invited to the official cast reveal on Thursday, April 30 at 6:00 at the Historic Black Knight Municipal Park.
Organizers say 12 local community members and their choreographers will compete in this year’s fundraising event, set for September 18 at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
United Way Executive Director Trena Dacal says Dancing with the Stars has become the organization’s premier fundraiser and now accounts for nearly thirty percent of its annual campaign goal.
Funds raised support nonprofit agencies across southern West Virginia, helping provide essentials like food, diapers, formula, meals for seniors, and other critical services for families in need.
