Tickets on sale now for Theatre West Virginia’s 2026 Summer Season

Grandview, WV (WOAY) Theatre West Virginia is rolling out its 2026 summer season, and it’s a milestone year.

The season opens with the 65th anniversary of “Honey in the Rock,” America’s oldest Civil War drama.

First performed in 1961, the show tells the story of West Virginia’s birth during the turmoil of the Civil War.

The production will run alongside “Shrek the Musical,” a Tony award-winning adaptation of the beloved film, brought to life with music, dance, and puppetry on the Grandview stage.

Tickets are on sale now, with special pricing for opening weekend and groups.

Artistic director KB Saine says this season strikes a balance between honoring the region’s history and delivering the kind of entertainment audiences love.

All performances will take place at the cliffside amphitheatre at Grandview inside the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.
