Oak Hill, WV (WOAY)- A local business is stepping up to help fight hunger in Fayette County.
Tee Time is launching a food drive to support the Fayetteville Food Pantry, and they’re asking the community to pitch in.
You can drop off nonperishable food items at Tee Time on 3948 Lochgelly Road in Oak Hill, Thursday through Saturday from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Fayetteville Food Pantry has seen demand jump nearly 40% and recently ran out of food for the first time after serving more than 170 cars.
They are asking for staples like canned goods, cereal, oats, mac and cheese, and spaghetti.
Organizers say every little bit helps as the community works together to restock the shelves and support local families.
