Concord welcomes largest freshman class since 2013

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) Concord University began the fall semester last week with its largest freshman class since 2013.

According to a press release from Concord, the university welcomed 504 first-time freshmen while also recording its largest day-one fall enrollment since 2017.

University president Bethany Meighen said that students are choosing Concord for the university’s close-knit community, faculty who are invested in their success, and rigorous programs that prepare them to make a difference in their professions and communities.

Concord also says the incoming class reflects the university’s commitment to making higher education accessible, as 98 percent of first-time freshmen receive some form of financial aid.
