Summersville Police to conduct sobriety checkpoint on May 10

Summersville, WV (WOAY)- The Summersville Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday, May 10.

The checkpoint will be on Webster Road from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.

There will be an alternate location at Broad Street.

Roving DUI patrols will support the checkpoint throughout the evening and nighttime hours.

The goal of the checkpoint is to prevent impaired driving and teach the public about the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence.
