WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Conditions will be foggy for the start of the day, which will cause visibility issues through the morning commute. Make sure to drive slowly and have your low beams on in the fog as you get to work. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Fayette, Greenbrier, McDowell, Mercer, Monroe, Nicholas, Raleigh, Summers, and Wyoming counties until 10 AM this morning. The fog will dissipate fully around 11 AM, bringing in mostly sunny skies for the rest of the day. Temperatures will also be close to 60 degrees, making for a great start to both the work week and the opening of buck firearm season. However, these nice conditions won’t last after today. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Tomorrow morning will start the rainy section of the weekend as our next rainmaker passes through the region. Showers and thunderstorms will be widespread to start, with some brief openings appearing in the evening and overnight. Severe weather will be to our southwest, though it is always good practice to stay inside when thunder is heard. These conditions will last through the day and into Wednesday as rain lingers. The last of the rain will dissipate late Wednesday into the wee hours of Thursday morning. Despite conditions drying up, this won’t be the last of this week’s weather rollercoaster.

Despite the mostly sunny skies, Thanksgiving Day will be the start of a brief but significant cold streak across the northeastern states. Temperatures will drop 20 degrees between Wednesday and Thursday afternoon as cold air from Canada drops into the region. Layers will be needed for any outdoor activity, and temperatures will only get cooler as the sun sets. Friday will be even colder with temperatures struggling to get above freezing in the afternoon. The cold will start to fade a bit as we enter the weekend as temperatures get past 40 degrees. However, the weekend will end with more rain in the forecast. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
