Residents safely evacuate early morning fire; cause under investigation

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Firefighters responded to an early morning blaze today.

Dispatchers say a call came in around 3:10 a.m. for a house fire in the Gillespie Addition area of Piney View. The residents were home at the time, but all were able to safely evacuate.

Bradley, Beaver, Mount Hope and Mabscott fire departments responded to the scene along with Jan Care and the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
