West Virginia (WOAY) West Virginians affected by the July 21-22 severe storms may still be eligible for federal disaster assistance.
FEMA says the deadline to register is October 3.
Survivors can apply in person at a disaster recovery center, by calling 800-621-3362, or online at disasterassistance.gov.
You can also apply through the FEMA app.
FEMA says applicants should have their address, damage information, insurance information (if available), Social Security number, and contact information ready when they apply.
Once registered, applicants will receive a FEMA registration number they should save for future contact with the agency.
